Green Hill School
Chehalis, Washington
Originally constructed in the early 1900’s, the Green Hill School is a juvenile detention facility for boys located just outside of Chehalis, Washington. The project consisted of building four housing units, with dining, kitchen and maintenance facilities. Lydig also constructed a vocational education facility and a security/administration building. The $35 million project was constructed while the school remained fully populated and operational. Once the new buildings on the 43-acre site were up and running, the older buildings were demolished and recreational facilities were constructed in their place.
