The new $4.8 million Wenatchee Police Station is a three-story building that will allow controlled security throughout the complex and its combined functions. The 37,800 SF building is equipped with an access control security controlled card entry system that makes a key to the building completely obsolete. Card readers , wired to a central computer, relay information back to the central computer which determines whether the door opens. The computer is programmed to know who is allowed in what room, during what time and on what days and can be reprogrammed in a matter of minutes. This system was ideal to install for this type of use as their are varying degrees for public access as well as for the work force.
